Hi everyone,
I was wondering if there was an easy way (or any way at all) to be able to power on my PC with a macro key on my keyboard. Specifically, I want the "M5" key on my keyboard to act like a dedicated power button like a lot of modern laptops have. I'm using a Razer BlackWidow Battlefield 3 edition that's pretty standard other than the 5 macro keys on the side. My motherboard is the ASUS Crosshair IV Extreme.
I have looked into my BIOS but it doesn't support any sort of wake from USB - just wake from PS2. I tried enabling it anyways though and that didn't work. I want some more functionality than that though; I would prefer for it to act as a power button whether the PC is off (to turn it on) or when the PC is on (to sleep or turn it off), though I can live without being able to turn it off with a key. Is this possible?
The main reason I want to do this is because I want to move my PC behind my desk and don't want to have to move my desk every single time that I want to turn on my PC.
Thanks!
