I'm building a new PC (everything but hard drive basically) and i was wondering if it was possible to move my current hard drive with my OS to a new PC basically, if it is possible what would be the best way to do that?

The best way? Prepare for a full reinstall of the OS and everything else.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
If it doesn't, then you have to do the whole reinstall anyway, but without having prepared for it.

A full reinstall is often required, always recommended.

I expected a full reinstall and i really don't mind because I expected it. But I have never done this before. How would I go about uninstalling everything? Is there a certain way to do it? OR do I just go to control panel and do it from there? and how do I uninstall the OS?

I apologize for all the questions, I have never done this before and I don't want to mess anything up

You don't have to 'uninstall' anything.

To prep:
Gather all your username/passwords
Find all your install files and serial numbers
Save your Favorites if desired
Save all that elsewhere and offline

Put the thing together, boot from the OS install drive, and install.
Once done and working right (drivers, Windows updates, etc) then you can start installing all your applications, etc.

So if I bought my PC pre-built from somewhere I most likely have an OEM version on Win 7 right?
