Ive heard some ppl have had leaks and damaged other components and was wondering how high the risk was. I am planning on getting the cooler master seidon 120V and don't want any problems, so can anyone recommend if I should get one or not? thanks
If they are handled well they should not leak because they are factory sealed. just don't try to break it and you should be fine.
They are pretty safe to use and almost never leak.
Leaks are seldom and the Seidon 120 is one of the better 120s, I thought about it for awhile before deciding on the Seidon to play with (have it on my AMD rig, in sig)
If you buy one , make sure it is ok before installing it . Factory defect are very rare but they exist. I saw reports about Arctic Cooling AIO destroying a pc once (the hose snapped and water destroyed everything ). you can connect it to power before installing it to test it as well.
so dont go blindly installing it without checking it for any possible defects. I am not scaring you .. it is 99.999% safe .
Only reason I can see to buy one is you don't have the space for a decent heatsink and/or you plan to overclock the crap out of an amd apu; however, I don't think there are many closed loops that would do better than that of a quality heatsink.
