I say "shut down" with quotation marks because I can't really explain it, so I made a video to show you (yes, it has terrible quality) https://youtu.be/03IxI82aLGI?t=70 (and yes, I'm well aware that that's a terrible position for the computer)

It was pre-built, as I had no one to tell me this was a horrible idea, but what I know of my specs is:
GPU: Asus Strix GTX 970
CPU: I7 4770 @ 3.4GHz
Mother Board: Gigabyte's H87M-HD3
RAM: 2x 8GB - One is Kingston's HyperX and the other I have no idea
PSU: 600W - Don't know the brand but it's nothing famous, I cheaped here so probably low quality
HD: 2x 1TB - Again, don't know the brand nor the RPM

It happens when playing:
The Witcher 3
Trine 2 on maximum
GTA V on High
The Witcher 2 (although it takes a long time for it to happen)
War Thunder while using a flight stick
Battlefield 4 while using a flight stick - This was the first time it happened

Started happening after I upgraded from my 660ti to the 970, also bought a new keyboard and flight stick at the same time, although I believe this information is useless.

I tried:
Reinstalling drivers (this one - https://www.asus.com/us/Graphics_Cards/STRIXGTX970DC2OC4GD5/HelpDesk_Download/ The BIOS and the VGA 344.48 and this one - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/24964/Intel-Iris-Iris-Pro-and-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-7-8-8-1-64-bit)
Checking temperatures (I think nothing abnormal, but I'm the opposite of an expert) - https://mega.co.nz/#F!YRYgQD5Y!EOoh9pO0zjx-AQQo3KKseg (I used RealTemp and Asus' GPUTweak to monitore them)

A friend of mine that was trying to help me found weird that windows would only allow me to get to 1920x1080 and recomended 1280x720 (as you can see here - http://i.imgur.com/MsQ5oBl.jpg) and according to him my GPU should allow for it to go to 2K.

I wrote all the information I could, please ask me for more if you think it would be relevant. Thanks in advance for everyone who tried to help me, and sorry for any grammar mistakes.

I'll see if somebody lends me one, so probably will take a while to test that, but I hope it's as simple as that, thanks.

Hey, I finally got around getting a PSU, and it actually wasn't the issue. Thanks for trying to help though.
I also aciddently picked a response of yours as the solution, and don't know how to "unpick"
