Hi
I plan on making a gaming build. And I need some help. Here are the component that I choose so far:
CPU: AMD FX-8350 AM3+
MOBO: Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0
GPU: 2X Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 G1 Gaming
Memory: G.skill RipjawsX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 1600
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2 [Gold][Modular]
Cooling: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
Case: Cooler Master Storm Trooper
Monitor: Acer XB280HK (4K. G-sync. 28-inch. 60Hz. 1ms. TN)

Other Info
Approximate Purchase Date: This month
Budget Range: 2000-2500$
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Watching movies.
Are you buying a monitor: Yes

*The main purpose of the build is gaming.
*I won't do any form of overclocking for now, or ever.
*The OS, Mass Storage, Mouse... are of no concern.
So is this build any good? I'm concerned about the CPU/MotherBoard combination because it's quite low end and old. But I only want to game. so my questions are:
1-Are the CPU and Mobo good enough to make full use of the GPUs? or do I need to upgrade to an Intel CPU?
2-Is the components reliable and have a good lifespan? This is a major concern of mine, I want them to last me a long time.
That's why I am getting this PSU and Case which are supposed to be really top notch.
3-Any other 4k monitors with G-sync at about the same price? Because I might not find the "Acer XB280HK" in Egypt. I know I should check with the local market, but even if I did not find it I have to game somehow. Though I apologize for my laziness
4-If I get the"Samsung U28D590D" what will my 4k gaming experience be like? will I get a good steady FPS or not?
5-The "Acer G257HU smidpx" and "BenQ GW2765HT" Are both attractive replacements. Though if I can't do 4k gaming, why bother with the second GTX 970? I mean a single one should be okay for this res, right?
6-A single GTX 980 or SLI? I know that for 4k a single GTX 980 won't cut it, but is an SLI setup a good idea for general gaming or just a specific situations? I really don't know much about SLI.
7-Am I straining my PSU on this build? at http://extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine with a bunch of hard drives and fans I get: 766 W minimum and 816 W recommended, so it's enough?
8-Is the move to an SSD a must or not? Because I'd like to save the money for now, but most people talk about the difference it makes and I don't want to lose out on a good advantage in gaming by cheaping out on one. Benchmarks would be appreciated
9-I am very new to SLI configs. So. Are they going to work in every game? I mean I will still play a lot of older titles such as: Rome Total war, yes the first one, Dawn of War, TES Oblivion, Fallout 3...etc will I benefit then of another GPU or it won't make a difference?
10-Best GTX 970 Model for SLI?
11-Just any advice or improvements that you can think of would be appreciated.
Thanks in Advance

Solution
As everyone does, go with one more powerful GPU now, then add another one in the future.
But if you play games that can make use of SLI setup then go ahead. For bigger screens more vram is necessary :)

2000-2500 dollars and you get a 8350? You should get something like a 4790k, with two, yes two GTX980Tis (one is about $650) so two will last long. Of course if you don't want to get a 980 SLI. It is wise going to Intel because sooner or later you will run out of options to upgrade on AMD and on the other end Intel is going to release Skylake, again for LGA1150 (4790k is LGA1150 also so you will be able to upgrade). I don't know a thing about monitors :D but i can tell you to go for Corsair AX series for PSUs, they're excellent. SSD is a good thing to have though not crucial. If you only game you won't see any difference in FPS only in loading times. For example for 2 980Tis, 4790k, 8GB of ram and a hard drive or two with 2 fans you could get away with a 850w PSU. But make it Corsair AX860. The ram is okay but if you wanna save and don't do rendering or design then you don't need more than 8GBs.

Don't you mean less? a GTX 970 has 3.5GB, a GTX 980 Ti has 6GB. So 2X3.5= 7GB right?

650X2=1300 USD. About 9919 EGP. But it would never sell for that price here. So you can expect them to add about 700-1000 EGP to its price.
So it would sell for about 10500. About 4100 more than my SLI setup. Also add another 1230 EGP more to get an I7-4790K. Even with saving 500 EGP
on getting lower ram. Total is 4830 EGP more (about 640 USD). So how is this a good option? even if I get the "Samsung U28D590D" costing 2k EGP less, I'm still short on about 2830 EGP. And I don't care about anything other than gaming, not going to render video or anything.
"Corsair AX 860" better than "EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2"? the EVGA has a rating of 9.9 at jonnyguru, 10 year warranty and is Tier 1 in
http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html
Anyway I like the idea of two GTX 980 Ti in SLI, but with this budget it would seem impossible, and if I get a lower res monitor then what's the point?

Corsair AX860 is also tier one.
Corsair
AX
/ AXi series 760w - 1200w Seasonic (AX) / Flextronics (AXi)
AX1500i Flextronics
HXi Channel Well Technology

I did not know about price differences, I was just suggesting an option that would last longer. And yes 8GBs of ram is enough for gaming.
Also, many games still won't run that good in SLI setups especially because GTX 970 is just lousy to use in SLI. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/820753/geforce-900-series/gtx-970-sli-/

So you should still get a more powerful one GPU instead two less powerful. Can you grab one GTX980Ti instead of two 970s?

Yeah, I did not find it in a couple of famous stores. But if it's better, then I would get it.
I did not think of the GTX 980 Ti because of availability and SLI looks better.
Anyway:
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/NVIDIA/GeForce_GTX_970_SLI/3.html

It seems that the GTX 970 SLI beats even the "R9 295X2" in most cases. Sure, it suck at Crysis but most other games it came on top or just below that.
But here: http://www.pcgamer.com/nvidia-geforce-gtx-980-ti-review/
SLI GTX 970 does not match to the "R9 295X2"
So what to make of all that?

And yes, i forgot about the PSU you said. Take whichever you want, as you said they're both tier 1 on that list and about the same wattage. Take whichever is cheaper or whichever brand you like more.
