I don't have loads of money to put into my first build so I've decided on this. Can I run games like Skyrim and CS:GO high/ultra 1080p at 60fps and newer releases at ~1080p 40fps? Thanks!
(Without the monitor/keyboard/mouse/random accessories that it needs the PC comes to £359.39 or about $550)

Honestly, I'd go with a cheaper mouse/keyboard. I mean, I know you think all gamers use gaming keyboards/mice, but many just use normal ones (like me) and it doesnt make much of I difference. I'd invest in keyboard/mouse later). Anyways you should really go with 8 gigs of RAM, shoot for a better PSU and Case, and probably get a better GPU. I know nothing about UK prices but there are a lot of good ones online designed for newcomers.

The r9 270x should be fine for playing Skyrim and CS:GO, as well as newer release games. However you may want to consider getting an i5 over the i3 to prevent possible CPU bottlenecking. Also upgrade from 4gb of RAM to 8, that is very important to games nowadays to have at least 8gb.

Have a fancy keyboard is pretty useless. As long as it is comfortable, a $15 keyboard is fine. A mouse is much more personal, but you don't need to pay more then $55 for a mouse and there are plenty of good $30 below options.

With a few changes you can get a bit more harddrive space and more performance for a few bucks more.

never, I repeat, NEVER, recommend Corsair XSM3, the most garbage RAM I've ever seen, almost always fails in a year's time.

Corsair vengeance FTW.

bad way to think man. Tech is changing way too much too quickly to hand brand loyalty/hate. One day mr bubbles has the best gpu, the next day he is number 4. I just follow reviews.

A good example of this is lenovo laptops. They used to be number 1 (under apple) until a fail/accident on preloading malware on their laptops caused them to lose all the way down to 6th place. They are now back to 4th, but it was a major fail for some cheap advertising money.
