How do I change the display size of my larger monitor?

I mean how do I change the size of my larger monitor to the same of my smaller one so i can play games extending across both. I want some black space below and above my larger one so its even if you know what i mean dog

I am on windows 8.1, and my larger screen is 1680x1050 my smaller one is 1600x900. I am uncertain of the size in inches though

Ok found out, larger one is 20" my smaller one is 19.5'

when you right click at the desktop of the larger monitor, you should have a menu (Intel Graphics Properties. There you should notice the display option and should be able to see the available resolutions for each monitor. If it doesn't display it, its because the monitor can't support it.

I know how to change resolutions I just want to see if i can downscale the larger monitor so it only uses the same amount of screen as the other. (Like have it just black space on top and bottom to even out with the other monitor)

there is a option that says says 'customize aspect ratio" (follow my instructions) see if that helps.

OK i found out how to change the aspect ratio, now i just need to figure out how to edit the display size exactly to the same dimensions
