As the title says.. I was looking into some temp monitors and I got HWmonitor to check it all out, but when I looked I was so worried. My i5-4460 was running at 105c with minimal load.. Im really worried I might've fucked my first build up! I've been using it for about a month now possibly at those temps or more! Im using stock cooler and all that, it looks like the fans were spinning, in bios it showed it at a little under 2000rpm. Ofcourse this was after a day of gaming, 9:00 am to 1:00am (now) but Im worried since I was just watching streams for the past few hours, also its Summer so higher temps are expected but im scared for my PC health. Respond with anything I'll do anything
Fyll specs
Cpu: i5-4460 no overclock
Stock cpu cooler
Mobo: AsRock h97pro4
Gpu: PowerColor r9 290
Ram: i cant remember srry
Case: nzxt source 210 elite white
Hd: hitachi deskstar 1tb

No extra fans (planning to change that somewhat soon no funds :c )

I mostly play TF2 or CS:GO , Arma 3

More info after I wake up!
I looked at the cpu cooler and I think its mounted correctly now. Can provide pics im gonna check temps now

Solution
The most likely thing is that you didn't get the cpu cooler seated correctly and with the stock cooler the max fan speed is about 2000 rpm

i would maybe invest into getting a good cooler but for your cpu to run at them temps while doing next to nothing is pretty bad as suggested above re seat the cooler and see if it gets cooler

Edit: my idle temp atm is 18c with a h100i
