GTX 780 sli wattage

Solution
For a system using two GeForce GTX 780 graphics cards in 2-way SLI mode NVIDIA specifies a minimum of a 850 Watt or greater system power supply that has a maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 65 Amps or greater and that has at least two 75 Watt 6-pin and two 150 Watt 8-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors. (Minimum system power requirement based on a PC configured with an Intel Core i7 3.2GHz 130 Watt TDP processor.)

Well. My single 780 system uses 400 watts max under load when overclocked. So that being said. 550-650 watts is a fair estimate as to how much an 780 SLI system will use.
Heres a review:

"Here is Guru3D's power supply recommendation:
GeForce GTX 780 - On your average system the card requires you to have a 550 Watt power supply unit.
GeForce GTX 780 2x SLI - On your average system the cards require you to have a 800 Watt power supply unit as minimum.
GeForce GTX 780 3x SLI - On your average system the cards require you to have a 1000~1200 Watt power supply unit as minimum."

**If asking because you need to know how big of a power supply to get. Get a good quality 750+ watt power supply.

Total Power Supply Wattage is NOT the crucial factor in power supply selection!!! Sufficient Total Combined Continuous Power/Current Available on the +12V Rail(s) is the most critical factor.

Overclocking of the CPU and/or GPU(s) may require an additional increase to the maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current ratings, recommended above, to meet the increase in power required for the overclock. The additional amount required will depend on the magnitude of the overclock being attempted.
