Get it from local retailer, as Indian online are ridiculously high. You can easily save Rs. 5000. Just hold will suggest pretty good build based on Indian local retailer price. Cheers!

Update:

All prices based on local market [with taxes included]:

i5 4460 Rs. 14400
Gigabyte GA-H97M-D3H Rs. 6650
Corsair Vengeance (2x4GB) Rs. 4800
Antec X1-E Gaming Cabinet with Window - Black Rs. 2850
Seasonic 620W Power Supply (S12II-620) Rs. 5600
ASUS STRIX GTX 960 2GB Rs. 16000

Total Rs. 50300

The GTX 960 even outclass the AMD mid-range heavy weight R9 280.

Check these videos:

The Witcher 3 GTX 960 vs R9 280/285/280X Benchmark Frame-Rate Test
Grand Theft Auto 5 PC: GTX 960 vs R9 280/R9 285/R9 280X 1440p Benchmarks
GTX 960 vs R9 285/ R9 280/ GTX 760 1080p Benchmarks
GTX 960 vs R9 285/ R9 280/ GTX 760 1440p Benchmarks

Overall a great value oriented build with no compromise on quality.

What the user "senseijtitus" says must be his own assumption. The prices I suggested are from local retail shops with taxes included . Online prices are ridiculously high. You can check yourself. The difference for all the parts I've suggested will surely be more than Rs. 4000 extra online compared to local retail shops.

If gaming Intel is the best option. I would not recommend the already aging 4 years old FX 6300/8320, even if overclocked like hell will not be able to catch up with Intel i5s. Also the non-K Intel will work fine with the default CPU cooler that comes with it. But for AMD FX processors you need at least a decent cooler like Hyper 212X EVO which would cost another Rs. 3000. The combo user "senseijtilus" talking about for Rs. 12770, would surely have either a crap processor or motherboard, where overclocking potential will be limited. And also keep in mind, they would be 970 chipset based board, will may require a BIOS update even for them to recognize the FX 6300/8320/8350 Vishera processors. So thats another headache.

Need smooth enjoyable gaming, Intel i5 is the way to go. Period.

Cheers!

Both Motherboard and that AMD processor together are available on Amazon for Rs. 12,774.00. In India, local retailers are not that cheap as you think yeskay. For a cabinet that prices around 4040 online, I had to pay 4450 buying from a local retailer when the last one in stock online i was trying to purchase sold out.

Local Wholesalers are rather cheap. But not with much margin. But they will not sell to end users directly. They will only sell them to Retailers who are registered and are taxed by the govt. for doing there business. This is all the taxation shit. But the thing is, you will be forced to give extra to a local retailer which will not happen when buying online. Taxes are also applied on the direct shopping in some states and online purchase is included with all taxes.

Is Zotac gtx 760 better card than gtx 660 & r9 270x ?

@1080 ranking of the cards you asked for based on performance and their local market prices are as follows:

Rank | Graphics Card Name | Local Price

1. ASUS STRIX GTX 960 Rs. 16000
2. Zotac GTX 760 Rs. 18000
3. MSI R9 270X Rs. 14500 [But this card almost performs close to GTX 760. Even in some games it surpasses the GTX 760]
4. Zotac GTX 660 Rs. 12000

I would not recommend either GTX 760/660, as they are already old Get either GTX 960 or R9 270X. For Rs. 14500 the MSI R9 270X 2GB Gaming is a pretty good deal.
