Dear forum members,

I will be re-building my rig next week for a double Geforce GTX 970 SLI setup. I am planning to switch from BeQuiet! Dark Rock Pro 3 air cooling to a water cooling system yet I have problems pickping one up.

Models I'm considering:
- Corsair h105 with stock fans changed to Noctua NF-F12 PWM
- Corsair h110i GT but I'm afraid about the leakage problem,\
- NZXT Kraken x61 but I've heard it can get really noisy.
- Swiftech H220

I'm running i7 4790k, non O/Cd at the moment but I'd like to OC it to 4,6GhZ after changing the cooling. Also I'm changing to water cooling because I want better air flow inside my rig to cool both of the cards. I am also very concerned abou noise levels, would like to keep the whole thing as quiet as possible.

Case: BeQuiet! Silent Base 800

Please help,

Thank you very much for your help.

Ari

Solution
I've never installed it, but it is pretty straight forward - mount the radiator and pump/block and connect to power...follow the directions and as always, Google/YouTube are your friends.

Thanks rubix. I've ordered H220 because H220-X is totally not available in my country and it's probably still better than the Corsair or Kraken, let alone the fact it'll fit my case with no problems.

Just an FYI on this.. If you are referring to the initial batch of that cooler where we caught the issue before it was widely distributed, that inventory has already been called back. All units that you get from all etail/retail are going to be new units :)

Thanks Joseph! I trust you did but I'm not 100% there are no h100i GT / GTX with the problem left here in Poland. I've seen this cooler just in 2 or 3 Internet shops whereas it should be distributed widely, like the rest of Corsair inventory. Maybe they haven't received the new batch yet, dunno.

You're probably right, it's possible that they haven't received their fair share of inventory as of yet. But for some odd reason we've had some problems distributing some of our coolers to some EU regions. These coolers are being mass produced at the moment so I know for a fact that we have them, it's just not getting to certain locations in EU. I've seen other folks from different forums saying the exact same thing.

Thanks for confirming. I know my country ;) been living here for 33 years (almost, my 33 birthday is in 3 days) and I know folks mentality here - those who ordered the first batch of h100i GT / GTX probably can be divided in to two groups: 1) big companies who can't afford bad reputation and thus sent all the stock back to you and now they're waiting for the new, corrected batch; 2) smaller companies who ordered like 10-20 of them, sold some and then the sales stopped because Corsair announced there's a problem. They got left with a few or more pieces and for them sending them back might seem like too much of a hassle thus they want to get rid of them and send back only if there's a real problem.

Not saying this product is bad. I think your company did the great thing announcing the problem and pulling them back. Problem might be not in Corsair but in sellers and taking the fact that AIO water cooling still seems pretty strange to most of the folks here in Poland and it's nowhere near air cooling as far as popularity is concerned (also due to much higher price), I was just a little bit afraid I might get a faulty product and thus didn't want to risk it. Wish I lived in the US and ordered directly from you guys, this way I would be sure to get best support possible and directly.

Advance Happy birthday! :)

Thanks for the explanation, I guess that explains why it's a scarce at the moment there. If I had to guess, I'm sure that there's a load on inventory on its way to your major stores there both local on online.

It's only right to make the call early, rather than wait for people to complain about it.. We're fortunate that we were able to catch right away.
