I normally recommend Samsung. Intel, SanDisk, and Crucial are also worth considering.

I have a 500GB Samsung 850 EVO and I love it. I did a fair bit of research before I bought, and the 850 EVO was very well reviewed and speeds were quite high. I have Windows 8.1 (with ClassicShell, natch) and from power-on to desktop is like 15 secs or less. And Far Cry 4 loads very quickly too.
