Help please do I need a better psu?

Hey so I just upgraded my computer the other week
With a -
GTX 970 Strix
i7 4790K
16Gb Corsair 2400MHz
Asus Hero VII Mobo

And I kept my old seasonic 620W psu thinking it would be enough power for the build but lately most of my games keep crashing and freezing and I was wondering if my new build needed a better psu?
I read somewhere that the 970 can use up to 300W on load.

Its about 3 years old so not that old at all.

It might, 620w isn't much for a 300w graphics on load. Although if it is a power issue it probably wouldnt just shutdown, the graphics card may just go into a low res mode, or something like that.
