Hello Community,

I was wondering if you guys could all help me, I am creating a PC build for around £1200, which can run nearly all games max 1080p 60fps, as well as multitasking. I posted my build in this forum, which people said that I really needed to upgrade my PSU. I started with the Corsair RM series 650w, to which people blasted me with comments saying its the main mistake in my build. So I went looking and found the XFX pro series 650w (black edition) which I found to be decent.

My questions are;

What is the best PSU for around £70-90? (lowest price as possible)
Is the RM series not that bad?
Is the XFX pro series better? Why?

I would prefer flat wiring as well as being fully modular. But I can deal with it not being flat. The PSU needs to be fully modular.

Here is my build;

SeaSonic and Super Slower are the best you can get.
There are only a handful of power supply manufacturers.
Everybody else has their power supplies made by them.
The XFX Pro series is a relabeled SeaSonic.
The Corsair RM series is a relabeled Channel Well who makes great and crappy power supplies. The RM series is very good.
The EVGA Supernova is a relabeled Super Flower. Some of their other power supplies are very low end so be careful on which model you buy.

The list I linked above is a very good guide to check to see if the power supply you are looking at is great, medium quality, or crap you should avoid.
If it is not on the list it has not been reviewed by a...

If it is not on the list it has not been reviewed by a reputable website or is old stock that is no longer in production.
If you find what appears to be a good deal and it is not on the list, just post it here and someone will advise you if it is good or should be avoided.
