Upgrading an AM3 socket motherboard

One of my friends got a new really nice gaming rig and gave me a bunch of his old parts for free. The motherboard he gave me is an AM3 socket M4A88T-M with an Athlon II and an AMD Radeon HD 6670. I am wondering what kind of upgradability I can see in the future. I am under the impression that AM3+ socket motherboards support Athlon II, Phenom II, and FX, which is what I would be looking for. What should be the first thing I upgrade, the GPU, CPU, or MOBO?
Any help is appreciated.

I am aware. The question was, do AM3+ mobos support phenom II's as well as FX's? And what should be the first part of my build I upgrade, the motherboard, processor, or graphics. Again, thanks for the help.

Some AM3 mobo's support FX processors. I have an MSI 890GXM-G65 and it supports a couple of FX processors. I am currently in search of an AM3 board that will not bottle neck an Athlon II 455 triple core Rana and a 520gt vid card. My current ASUS mobo is an entry level pile of pooh that is horribly slow. A processor that scored a 7.6 on the windows experience factor scored a 5.6 on the ASUS board. Anybody no of a good priced board that will let this mild processor run free?
