So my WD 2TB Black drive is very loud when reading and especially when writing. It vibrates my hard drive cage in my Corsair Obsidian 650D which actually has small white dampeners in already I think.
How do I keep this noise level down further?

(am buying a 250GB SSD soon so don't just say buy a SSD)

Hi there tamethegamer,

Sorry that you are facing some issues with your WD drive. :(

Even though WD Blacks have higher acoustics levels, it shouldn't really be that bad. It will not hurt to test the drive with WD's Data Lifeguard Diagnostic tool and see whether there is something wrong with it.
In case the drive is healthy, you can some some of the many topics on how to make a hard drive quieter. Check this out for example: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-2539288/make-hdd-silent.html
