So i'm running an old system atm.

abit ab9 pro
gts 8800 640mb
core 2 quad 2.8ghz
600 watt psu (had to get it about a year ago since the one i had died)

i don't have 500-600 to spend on a new system now so i was just thinking about getting a newer graphics card to hold me over for a bit. And when i do get a new one i'll probably just use the card i buy now in it.

Looking to spend about $200 and the gtx 960 looks decent for that price.

Would i be ale to use that gfx card on this old motherboard? Also it would fit in my case if my other one did right? They seem to be similar in dimensions.

The GTX 660 is cheaper, yes, but uses about 20 more watts and is substantially weaker than the GTX 960. He's going to get a new build soon and the GTX 960 will be a better option. The GTX 660 will not cut it anymore these days.

my current gfx card has these

Height: 4.376 in - 111.15 mm
Length: 9 in - 228.6 mm

with about 2 inches away from my hard drives.

What is the best version to get? I see a bunch of different variants of the 960

supersc, ftw, superclocked

thats just what i saw on the amazon page idk if theres more.

Also see the 4gb card for $40 more, is it worth it to spend that extra for double the memory or would there be a better card at $250?
