Need help with wireless adapter

I am building my first pc and just found out that I would need to get a wireless adapter to do online gaming... The motherboard I'm getting is MSI H97 PC MATE ATX LGA1150 Motherboard. The router I have in my house is Netgear's WNR2000v3. Would any wireless adapter be supported by this router? I have no idea what I should be looking at. Will TP-LINK TL-WDN4800 adapter work with wnr2000v3? My wireless connection says that the radio type is 802.11n (whatever that means)

edit: hmm apparently my router isn't dual band.
