Best graphics card for around £200 (new&second hand) looking for 144fps at 1080p.I've found a r9 290x (second hand) for around £180 and a 7990 for £220, they both support dx12 but wondering if there's anything better on the nvidia side for this price (970?).just looking for general suggestions as to what to buy, okay with bidding as long as long as you can say what price that card would generally go for
Thank you, please post links to the cards, must ship to UK.

Should i buy at all now or wait for r9 300 series to push prices down or go for one of those ?

Cpu-fx8350 incase that makes a difference with mantle or direct X12

Thanks again~jimothy

7990 is a beast, but crossfire makes the card less worthwhile as not all games support it and not all games that have support are supported well.

It's also bound to be a lot older and may have been used for coin mining. The 290 is a pretty hood deal, I tried amazon uk and found nothing comparable. Mind you , if you go to buy the card, please make sure it works before giving the money.
290x is a good deal as long as it doesn't use the stock style cooler as it struggles to maintain clockspeeds when not set to sound like a hairdryer.

New cards in that price range are not going to have the same kind of performance. 290x or bust in this situation.
