Help Choosing Case and CPU Cooler

Looking for some input on case/CPU coolers.

Decided to upgrade my case and give my current 300R to my little brother. Debating between the Phanteks Enthoo Pro and Corsair Carbide 500R. I understand that one is a Mid while the other is Full, but they both seem to have plenty of room and features for the price range I would like to stay at.

I am also trying to decide between the Phanteks PH-TC14PE and the Dark Rock Pro 3. From what I have read, it seems like the Phanteks may be a bit more efficient (~4C), but much louder. Do you think there would be any benefit to going with an AiO solution or just stick with air? I plan to mildly OC (~4 GHz) an i7-5930k for some reference with the thermal dissipation I will need. I will be using an MSI X99S SLI Plus and Crucial Ballistix Sport RAM.

What would you suggest for the case/cooler? I am open to other suggestions, but would like to keep each component ~$100 or less. Thanks!

Solution
I would go with the Carbide 500r.

And for the cooler, I'd go with this.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU Cooler: Corsair H80i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($87.74 @ Amazon)
Total: $87.74
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

If you don't wanna maintain the water cooler and all, get this.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 82.5 CFM CPU Cooler ($96.68 @ Newegg)
Total: $96.68
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Hello IAmTheTofu, thank you very much for your reply!

Do you think AiO coolers have an advantage over the air-cooled heatsinks? For a budget a little over $100 ($120-140ish), which AiO solution would you choose? I really wanted Swiftech but it seems like there are no sites with any in stock.

What would be the best air-cooler you would recommend that is not the NH-D15? I would preferably have something a little darker to match my color scheme if possible.

What made you recommend the 500R over the Phantek? Would the 500R be a good size going forward for upgrades such as an AiO solution? My current 300R was pretty limited in this respect.

Um, there isn't much difference. The water cooler is just smaller and needs more maintenance. It also looks better IMO. What really matters is the benchmarks.

If you can get the Cryorig R1 (out of stock RN), go for it.

CPU Cooler: Phanteks PH-TC14PE_BK 78.1 CFM CPU Cooler ($98.37 @ Amazon)

This is a good air cooler, too.
These coolers are a little insane if you're only overclocking 500 mhz, lol.

And the reason why I chose the 500R over the Phantek is because I know the Corsair is good with their cases. Real good. The reason why you were limited with the 300R is because it was cheaper, obviously.

Anyways, I know Phantek is good with their CPU coolers, but not entirely sure about their cases. The Corsair one has more reviews, and I feel more comfortable choosing it.

Between the Phanteks PH-TC14PE and the Dark Rock Pro 3 which would you recommend? Do you think the extra noise from the Phanteks is worth the better cooling?

What sort of OC's do you think would be reasonable to achieve with a good air cooler, the MSI X99S SLI Plus, and the i7-5930k? I know it also has to deal with luck of the draw, but what is technically considered mild, high, etc.?

Do you think the 500R would be a good compromise between Mid/Full Towers or would you recommend a different Corsair?

Thank you for your help so far!
