I hope you've got a case for it.
For that price bracket (and your multitasking ambitions) you'd better go for an AMD FX8350. It's an 8-core and the i5-4460 is only quad-core (non-hyperthreading). Intel is a bit more future-proof when it comes to upgrading though, the FX-8350 is the best AMD have right now and they're probably not going to make any more powerful CPUs for AM3+.
