Hi all, I noticed that there was many questions about wifi ac problems with windows OS but I didn't see any answers saying that the problem comes from windows and not the wifi adaptors as ASUS say, I have just built a machine and reading the Z97 Asus Pro (Wifi ac) mobo features it says that I can set my computer to become the wifi access point which I was planning to do but in the booklet they then say that due to Windows OS softAP feature the AP mode only supports 2.4 Ghz bandwith with 802.11n communication standard... So what is the point having a 802.11ac wifi if windows doesn't support it ? And is there a way to get windows to work with the 5 Ghz bandwith or not ?
