I just built a new PC a month or so ago, and I have been fighting with it ever since I got it setup. It reboots multiple times a day (just powers off instantly and then starts to reboot), and sometimes it gets stuck in a reboot loop and has to have the power pulled. I have ran every diagnostic that I know of, and I can't seem to narrow down what the issue is (although I DO believe it's hardware related). Here is a list of the components that I have installed and the steps that I have taken to test each one:
ASUS X99 Deluxe Motherboard
Updated to latest firmware (v.1702)
Reset CMOS
Pulled CMOS battery for 5 minutes
Installed all necessary drivers & double checked that there were no errors in Device Manager
Removed all USB devices (except mouse & keyboard)
Intel Core i7-5960X CPU
Ran Prime95 tests - passes Small FFTs & In-place large FFTs, but reboots pretty much right away when I try to run the Blend test
Core temps idle around 35C and stay under 55C when under load
NVIDIA Titan X 12GB GPU
Ran Furmark for 1/2 hour - no problems (GPU load was between 95-100% and temp around 75-80C)
Tried 3 different driver versions (currently using v.347.88 which is the earliest version available but seems to be the most stable with Premiere Pro and AE)
G.Skill Ripjaw 4 Series 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 2400 Quad Channel RAM
Ran MemTest86+ through 12 full passes with no errors
Tried removing one of the pairs and then tried using different slots; didn't help at all
Other Compontents
EVGA SuperNova 850 G2 Modular PSU
Corsair H100i Liquid CPU Cooler
Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 Case
256GB Samsung 850 PRO SSD (Boot drive)
3 x 3 TB Seagate 7200 RPM drives in Striped RAID using onboard RAID controller
Sonnet Tempo Pro Plus SSD PCI card w/ 2 x 256GB Samsung 840 Pro SSDs
Syba 2-port 1394b + 1-port 1394a Firewire PCI card
I originally installed Windows 8.1, and then reinstalled it hoping the reboots were software related. I then went back to Windows 7 (which I am currently running) and still continue to have the issues. I am running Speedfan and MSI Afterburner to power Rainmeter in order to monitor temps. Also I use the computer mostly for video editing, so I regularly push the CPU and GPU pretty hard for rendering or previewing. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot my problem would be greatly appreciated.
