My friend said windows 8.1 pro will give better performance in gaming and will give better fps.

I have used windows 8.1 pro also. But not played any games with it. By using it , i felt that windows 8.1 was slower than windows 7. Anyway, would i get better fps while gaming ?

ram : 8 gb
gpu : nvidia gtx 750 ti
os : windows 7 x64 bit
