New amd processor or a new motherboard and cpu?

I have a budget of £100 and I was wondering if I should get a new AMD processor or I could get a cheap motherboard and intel cpu, what should I do?

personally i would stick with amd mobos since ram for intel is more expensive

you cant get even an i3+cheapest mb for 100 squid matey & even if you could it would be a sidegrade at best & in my honest opinion somewhat of a downgrade.

Both Intel and AMD's mainstream motherboards (i.e. 990FX and Z97 et al, not X99) use DDR3, so the memory used is identical.
