Would this build be able to run almost all games at atleast a steady 50 fps on a 1440p monitor with high settings?

See title, this is the build: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/ZeldaFreak/saved/Dm3MnQ

I was originally just gonna use this build with my 1080p TV, but I just realised that this build might just be powerful enough to run 1440p, so what do you guys think, would it be able to run it? (Not counting the games that aren't out yet I'm planning on getting, the most demanding game I have currently is GTA V)

If the answer is no, what should I change about this build to make it be able to run 1440p at a steady 50 fps? (Without dropping below 45 fps)

The 970 is a very strong card for 1440p. I personally say your fine. The good thing about 1440p is you can turn the AA down and sometime completely off compared to 1080p which makes the performance difference smaller than you would imagine.

Your best bet is to look at GPU benchmarks for games you are interested in and see how well the 970 does at 1440p.

failing that... the 980/980ti is leaps ahead on 1440p both due to vram, the 980 having full access to 4gb instead of a 3.5/0.5 split and the ti with its 6gb. But budget unstated.

It's the difference between pass and fail for ultra settings on some games.

But the 970 is a reasonable chanpion if high and vhigh are good enough... which lets face it is still better than console ;)

Thank you :) So, would I need to upgrade to anything else about this build besides the graphics card to run 1440p at ultra settings at around 50 fps? would I just need to upgrade to the 980 to be able to run most (If not all) games at 1440p pretty much flawlessly, or is there anything else I should upgrade with this build?

Everything else looks solid.

OK, and one last thing (Sorry for asking so many questions, I'm kind of going back and forth with what parts I want as you can see XD) I'm pretty much asking the same question as I did before, but for the 980 Titan. Should I upgrade anything else with this build since I've decided to go for a 980 Titan, or is everything else fine? (Last question, I promise XD)
