Read all BootMgr fixes. However, my deal is a little different in that someone gave me a Presario Compaq CQ62 that originally was running Windows 7 Ultimate. He ran Darik's Wipe and gave the notebook to me. I want to install Windows 7 Pro, but no matter what I do it says Bootmgr missing, hit control/alt/delete. It won't load windows 7, I can't start in safe mode, I even tried a windows recovery disc, but the same message comes up. The only thing I can do on boot-up is hit esc and it takes me to startup menu. I did a boot device options to boot from CD, but no matter what it won't load anything. If everything has been wiped, how can it possibly read any discs? Thank you very much for your time in reading my post and hopefully you'll be able to suggest some ideas.
