I just finished building my first PC. When I plugged it in, the fans started spinning, and it started, but there was no signal on the monitor, and it kept repetitively beeping 1 long beep followed by 2 short ones. I tried remounting the graphics card and the RAM, but the problem persisted.

Okay. I did that and the beeping stopped, but the monitor still doesn't turn on.

I plugged a DVI-D cable directly into the graphics card, (I also tried plugging it into the motherboard) and I am using a monitor, not a TV.
