I have been planning my first build for a few months now, and I am having thoughts about the look of the cooling, I have a budget of $1000, I am putting in a GTX 970 and a 4790k, I have been wanting my build to look as best as it can, I am using the h440, a windowed case. I have always been pretty scared about watercooling, http://[/url] is kind of the reason why. The only reason i am having second thoughts about a simple cpu fan is because they are HIDEOUS, and I love the look of the watercooling tubes running through, I dont know what to do, is it easy enough to do for a first time PC builder? Thanks In Advance.

Your link did not show up (although i'm sure I can imagine some loop that burst and destroyed the PC)

I don't think that being a first time builder or multitime builder would make a difference. The only difference would be that one is a heat sink, and the other is a water block. In reference to to the liquid cooling side of the question, I built my first liquid build about a year ago. I have had zero issues. I bought an EK Kit that came with everything required ~$350, and followed the directions and installed it withough issue. I ran a leak test for 24 hours with all power removed except for the the pump.

Like you, I was afraid of the possibilities that could happen. This is my advice to you, as well as what works for me. Liquid...

I check my tubing all the time to make sure that connections are tight and it is not wearing. I also read that it is a good habit to get in to to drain your loops and clean/inspect it once a year. If you aren't negligent, you shouldn't have any issues. Accidents are always a possibility, but you have to be responsible when it comes to owning and maintaining a liquid loop. I will likely never return to air cooling.

Hope this in some way helps. Good luck!
