Glancing around, it would seem that issues arising with this card aren't out of the ordinary, as I've seen more than one thread here bringing it up. The most recent of which suggested the PSU was the culprit behind the cause, though I doubt such is the case here.
Like the title says, my V. card refuses to display picture to my monitor while the drivers are installed. It gets up to Windows logo and then abruptly shuts off where a "no signal detected" message then flashes across the screen (the OS does boot up properly given I managed to maneuver around enough to play a MP3 file while the display was dead). Bizarrely, I can get display just fine when I uninstall and delete the drivers from the system once I get into safe mode and access Device Manager to do so. The card worked fine before this happened (didn't come across the reported "black screen in games" issue), so I'm wondering as to what could've caused this.
Specs:
Mobo: ASUS Hero VII
CPU: Intel i5- 4690K @ 4.5 Ghz
Graphics: Sapphire Tri-X R9 290
Ram: 16GB Trident X
PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 1000W
Really, I heard ATI drivers had some issues, but this is ridiculous.
My (terrible) jokes aside, any idea as to how I can fix this little dilemma (aside from simply purchasing a card that can better retain stability in the long-term*)?
*While I may be tempted to do so (especially with the new 300 series that's rumored to debut later this month), I'd rather not make a habit of wasting money.
