I currently have 8 x 8 GB RAM @ 1333 MHz.
I would like to replace 4 sticks for 32 GB RAM sticks @ 1866 MHz from a different company. Is this bad practice? I understand that it will probably run on the lowest common denominator, but are there any other issues that may arise?

Thanks

Okay, the 1866 mHz Ram will downclock to 1333 mHz.

If your motherboard can support that much ram, then go or it.

I don't know why you need that much ram.

It's not really a bad practice, but I mean if you actually NEED the RAM, and it's the best deal you can find out of 1333 mHz+ sticks, then go for it.
