If you have a solution that's working, then I would say yes, its worth the wait to see how well the skylake performs compared to what's available now. If you do not have a working gaming rig that can hold you over, then I would say go with what's available and build the best system you can afford. After all, there is no reason you can't simply wait a couple of generations and build yourself a new rig. I myself am finally breaking down and building a new rig, I have been using the same core 2 quad q6600 system since the q6600 came out. I have simply upgraded the video card every now and then. Now however, the new games that are coming out are simply more than the old beast can handle, so it transitions from my gaming rig to a htpc system...
