Technically it is possible, freedompop had/has a fixed solution that lets you use small amounts of data until you hit the cap. It is using wimax technology which runs on the sprint/clear network which is being shut down on nov 6. Since freedompop has been silent on this topic the prediction is they will be no free option after it shuts down. All the uncapped plans that people pay for from clear are also going away with no replacement, best you can get from sprint is 30g for $110/month.

Since everyone seems to be going the other way I suspect we will not see free plans....even the free one from freedompop had limited usefulness because of how the cap...
