my own built pc can't boot up

i just built a pc to use it as a server, i connected everything and i pressed the power button. the fan of the case, PSU, and CPU started spinning. no beeping and the monitor displayed no signal error. the power LED is red. the MB's LED is green and i noticed that a small red led is on on the motherboard (written RAM power).the DVD driver slides out when i press the button. it's my first time to build a computer and i'm panicking please help
i'm using asus (vanguard b85) graphic card n on-board

actually i tried to undo everything and reassembled it again and it started working, i don't where the problem was. but the led still red
i checked my case's website they didn't provide any written info about that but the led in the displayed pics in their web was red so i just assumed that's it.. it's the case nature.
now i'm left with installing the software, i want to install windows server 2008, should i do any changes in the bios other than changing the boot up priority?
