Hi, I have been planning on upgrading my psu/cpu and maybe my gpu at a later date, but the only problem is I don't have the boxes or all the cables. Which is stupid of me I know.

So I just wondered what could I do with the old parts?

You could do a couple things, you can build yourself a backup computer, something you can go to in the event that the new one stops working or you could go to websites like Heatware, Ebay, Craigslist, or r/Hardwareswap to sell the components or trade for something you may need.

You can also sell parts here in the Classifieds section. Just make sure you read the rules in the sticky in that section before you list them.

Even if the parts are too outdated to sell (u gotta question whether a $10 item plus shipping is worth the headache), you don't have to throw them out. I keep my old stuff in boxes labelled PARTS, one never knows when an old cable is needed, a bracket, and for God's sake never throw out those internal cables, they can be re-use over and over. Old IDE drives, USB1 hubs, floppies with no data, OK, e-waste.
