As the title states I'm looking to upgrade my stock heatsink for my FX-8350. I need one that is easy to install, I have tried the hyper evo 212 by coolermaster and the back plate installation was difficult. The main reason I'm looking to upgrade is because when I do video exporting in 60fps my cpu can hit temps as high as 70c and it concerns me. If anyone can suggest one that's easy to install, fits my case and within $60 price range I'd appreciate it.

Build is:
FX-8350
MSI 970 Gaming Mobo
Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 (Zotac Micro)
32GB DDR3 Dual Channel Ram
Windows 7 Premium 64 bit OS
ThermalTake 750W Modular powersupply
Case is: Coolermaster HAF 912

They throttle themselves to prevent damage and they really only suffer this upwards of 85 - 90C. And yep I can't think of a CPU cooler that doesn't require a backplate of some sort (water cooling might have a rubber "backplate") but other than that, there's always going to be one, just...

70C is fine, you shouldn't be concerned. The Hyper 212 is about as easy as they come but if you need something easier I would look for something like an H80 on sale. I've heard that noctua coolers are also pretty easy to install but I can't give you a personal reference on those.

Really? 70C is okay? I thought that's when the cpu starts to get permanent damage? So I take it almost all after market heatsinks require backplate installation?

One good news for you.
You don't need to remove mobo to install any cooler in your case, since it have hole in back for easy Cooler backplate installation.
I got my HR-02 MACHO REV. B last weekend and i had to full everything out to install it, was rly pain it the a$$.
But you wont have those problems and you will need 10-15 min max for whole installation process.
