Hey guys,

I got 4790k, 960GTX SSC, 16GB RAM, drivers up to date.. yet I still have low fps on starcraft. When there is nothing (beginning of the game) I have 200-300 FPS, mid game : 70-100, but whenever I get into late game with units it drops to 45-60 and when there are huge fight with 150units in a 3v3 I can get as low as 10fps.. and constant fps, not just spike. Is this normal? And if so, what should upgrade in my Rig to get a better perfformance?

Thank you so much for helping me!

Solution
Display shouldn't matter. 60C is fine.

Comes down to drivers or somethhing at this point. Might post on the Blizzard forums for more direct help. Possibly they can tell you the exact problem after seeing your game log files.

Thanks guys!! My CPU is not overclocked

Also I forgot to specify the specs of SC2 :
- 1920x1080
- All maxed settings
- I notice the same problem Offline

So what program do you recommand to check my temperature during these games? And what temperature should I want?

For the CPU cooler, I got a 212 EVO, I used the pea technique for termal paste, but the first time I put too much, so i removed and cleaned everything with 70% alcool. I noticed that the copper material of the CPU cooler was 'malformed on one side due to pression or wrong allignement against the cpu..' So the whole surface is not convered only 80% + I didnt spread it evenly, since I used the pea technique..

I made a test with RealTemp and it never went over 60C, I made an army of 300 units at Ultra settings with the spec I said before.. I really don't know what is the problem. I was having 30FPS and if I would put everything to minimum I hit 70FPS..

Could it be my monitor display? It's an old model Samsung SyncMaster 2494?

Thanks for the help!

Thanks Eximo, I posted a topic in their forums. I hope they will know what it is.

Idk maybe it's because I installed starcraft in my second hard drive, not the one containing the OS. I made all the updates and the drivers are up to date as well.
