Well, my room is really hot. like really really hot. i have i5 4690k. and i have a liquid cooler on it. (cooler master Seidon 120V). my temperatures are ticking between 60-75c while running Google chrome (playing a flash game on it) and origin (updating battlefield 4). and while completely idle the temperatures tick between 40 - 50c. but with the air conditioner on, and the room cold. the idle temperatures tick between 27-32c and while running chrome and origin it ticks between 30-40c.
So are those temps normal? with the liquid cooler? is something wrong with my liquid cooler or is the room temp affecting it?
thanks

Solution
The ambient temperature is the cause. The cooler needs to move the excess heat away from your computer -> directly to your room, so if the ambient temperature [your room temperature] is high, consequently the temperature of the said computer will be also high.

Don't worry though about it, this tends to happen in summer.

Wow, yeah while "normal" as in the temperature of the CPU in idle mode is somewhere a little above the room temperature, yeah it is normal.

But I'd suggest if you look at this link at http://ark.intel.com/products/80811/Intel-Core-i5-4690K-Processor-6M-Cache-up-to-3_90-GHz you will see a variable called T_case = 72.72°C which is the maximum temperature allowed for the CPU. So it's better to have the AC on. Now interesting that you mentioned that you had spikes up to 75°C. Well anyway better cool your room, to cool your PC.

Duuuude never mind the problem was with my cooler. it wasnt fully in contact with the cpu. didnt attach it properly. now my temps are 23-26c with chrome running and a flash game!
