Hey. As the title says im looking for a new card for 1080p and just dont know what will be best and last a while out of Sapphire R9 290 Vapour X, Gigabyte G1 gaming 4gb or Gigabyte G1 gaming 970

My build is:
AMD FX 6350
Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3
Corsair GS 800 psu
8gb Vengeance RAM

The 970 will be the best option of those three. Price didn't come up in your post, so the premium over the 290X should be negligible and the card will run cooler and more quietly.

Actually the Vapor-X cooler will keep the R9 290X at about the same temperature as the G1 Gaming GTX 970. It is probably one of the best cooler designs out there next to a AiO water cooling system.

The issue with the 970 is the VRAM layout as it is 3.5GB + 512MB which does have some drawbacks.

That is a good comparison. The TriX OC is not as good as the Vapor-X but still close. As you can see they trade blows and are pretty much near on par with each other.

Personally I would wait till the 16th on June to see what the R9 300 series has to offer, as well if price drops come.
