Hello,

I've read the "How to select RAM" article and read up on the brands. I've decided to go with Corsair, but I'm not very tech savy and would appreciate some further help.

Basically, I just do moderate gaming and work with very very large photoshop files. Will I notice any difference between the three below? Also, will the higher voltage memory produce noticeably more heat? I've been monitoring my components and everything already runs pretty hot.

The last one says the memory type is "DDR3 SDRAM" instead of DDR3 1600. I don't really know what that means. Maybe Amazon just isn't consistent in their listings.

Here are my system specs
Gigabyte Z97X-UD3H-BK Motherboard
Intel Core i7-4790k CPU – 4GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
Corsair 750W Power Supply

I recommend getting the Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600 16GB dual channel ram kit. It is compatible with your CPU and your motherboard and will be perfect for your needs (Second and third link).

What CPU cooler are you going with? Some memory modules are taller than others and height can be an issue--especially those with large heatsinks like the Corsair Vengeance Pro.

Thanks for the fast responses everyone.

My CPU cooler is a giant Cooler Master. I don't recall the model or exact size, but it is huge. My case barely closes and I have a large case. But luckily there is nothing directly over my memory slots since the fan is oriented vertically.
