Video Card Power Supply Needs Advice

Hiya. I just purchased a OEM 4GB(4096MB) DDR5 ATI Radeon HD 7570 video graphics cards for PCI-E 2.0 650/1000MHz. I have a Hiper 480 Watt PSU but for some reason all I get is a black screen when I boot up. The card has no port to attach a cable for an extra power boost beyond the usual 75 kilowatts that the PCI-E port can give so I was wondering, is it simply that my PSU isn't outputting enough juice or what? My PC is a Quad Core Dell Inspiron. Please help.

the 480 watts is plenty. so as there is not port on the back, I see no reason why it would not have enough power. try going into the BIOS and setting it to PCIE or dedicated graphics, so that it can boot with the card in, that is often the issue.

If the PC boots with a weaker graphics card, then you need to replace the power supply. Otherwise it seems to be a motherboard or the GPU itself that's causing the problem.
