Hi,

I have ASRock 990FX Extreme3 motherboard
There are SSD, HDD and DVD plugged into SATA in motherboard

In BIOS I can see that motherboard detects my DVD drive as Optiarc DVD RW AD-5200S
However Windows 8 cannot detect my optical drive
Neither can AIDA64

I tried to replug optical drive with ssd and hdd, still the same issue
I also checked dvd drive with other hardware - it works fine with asus motherboard

In BIOS I have SATA Controller: Enabled, SATA Mode: IDE Mode, SATA IDE Combined Mode: Enabled

Does anyone have idea how to fix it?

Sovled by this:
Replugged optical drive to unique SATA port
Disabled IDE Combined mode on motherboard
And Win8 picked up my optical drive

Looks like some bug with motherboard drivers, so it couldn't detect dvd-drive when it was plugged in the same SATA as HDD
