Is my PSU enough for my graphics card? MSI GTX 960 2GB? How do I connect the cables?

It only requires 400 Watt PSU...I think. Does this mean that I have to connect the 6-pin or 8-pin cables to the graphics card? Cause to be honest I have no idea what the heck to do. Haha sorry I am really a PC noob. Im actually scared to buy the whole card if I wouldn't be able to connect the 6-pin and 8-pin cables. Do I even have to connect the GPU to a 8-pin cable?

Could some very kind soul tell me how to connect the graphics card to the motherboard. I watched this video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVDY-ICNebQ @6:15
And I have no idea what the red and the black cable was. What did he do?? I assume the black was a 8-pin connector, which he connected to the GPU. Where else did he connect it? :c
Sorry if I'm too dumb for you guys...But thanks in advance!

That's a picture of a molex connector. That PSU is also has a very low power output rating. It's 350 watts. You could probably use it if you had some molex to 6 pin adapters.
If your going to look at upgrading the PSU as well as the GPU though you might just be better off looking at a second hand PC.

This guy is asking $400 for a pretty good setup for example.
Or Perhaps think about a card like this 750ti that recommends a 300watt PSU and requires no auxiliary power input.

The first thing to do is know what PSU you actually have. Does it have plugs coming out of it that look like this 8 pin

Or like this 6 pin

If you can see the brand and model number of your psu and wattage I could possibly look it up and tell you if it's capable or not.

He doesn't know how to plug a GPU into a motherboard yet. Your being much to broad with that statement.
