I have a dual GTX 780 sli setup running 2x 4k monitors, currently the monitors are connected with DpisplayPort to each card. Because of this I am unable to run the monitors with SLI enabled @4k resolution with 60Hz, my question is if there are any alternatives to connect both monitors to a single card and be able to get 4k resolution 60Hz with SLI enabled?

Am I screwed and have to scrap the cards and jump on the Maxwell train?

Your cards each got 1 displayport and 1 hdmi. Displayport support multiple monitors on one cable, problem is that it works only with lower resolutions. 4k bandwidth is currently too much for 2 monitors on single cable.
Your alternative is to connect one of those 4k monitors to your HDMI but you will achieve max 30Hz on that one.
But that way you should be able to use your SLI.

Copy from geforce.com page about GTX 780:
"3840x2160 at 30Hz or 4096x2160 at 24Hz supported over HDMI.
4096x2160 (including 3840x2160) at 60Hz supported over Displayport.
Support for 4k tiled MST displays requires 326.19 driver or later."
