This question might sound stupid, but as i see theres two holes for cables in my harddrive. Theres a SATA 6, that goes into my motherboard. and then theres a cable with same mouth as SATA 6 but instead goes into my Power supply. Do i need both? What is the power cable called?

Thank you for reading!

Hey there Noldemor.

Yes, you need both cables. The SATA power cable provides power so that the drive spins-up and is connected to the PSU and the other one is the SATA data cable which is connected to the motherboard and is used for communication between the motherboard and the drive.
Just to clarify, you probably mean SATA 3 and not SATA 6. The SATA 3 interface supports speeds of up to 600MB/s, that's where the confusion comes from usually.

Hope that helps.
