Hi everyone. Please take a look and evaluate my very first PC build project. All parts were ordered and I will attempt to put this together over the weekend.

Solution
Your build will work, but I have some questions or suggestions.

1. Most of the time, a I7-4790K will be a cheaper and superior chip.
It runs at 4.0/4.4 at stock. Only if you will be running multithreaded apps that can consistently keep all 6 cores and hyperthreads loaded would a 5820K be better. Even at that, the total throughput might be only 10% better.
For anything less, the faster core speeds of the 4790K will be better.
2. I would ditch the liquid cooler.
My canned rant on liquid cooling:
------------------------start of rant-------------------
You buy a liquid cooler to be able to extract an extra multiplier or two out of your OC.
How much do you really need?
I do not much like all in one liquid coolers when a good air cooler...

I do not much like all in one liquid coolers when a good air cooler like a Noctua NH-D15 or phanteks can do the job just as well.
A liquid cooler will be expensive, noisy, less reliable, and will not cool any better
in a well ventilated case.
Liquid cooling is really air cooling, it just puts the heat exchange in a different place.
The orientation of the radiator will cause a problem.
If you orient it to take in cool air from the outside, you will cool the cpu better, but the hot air then circulates inside the case heating up the graphics card and motherboard.
If you orient it to exhaust(which I think is better) , then your cpu cooling will be less effective because it uses pre heated case air.
And... I have read too many tales of woe when a liquid cooler leaks.
google "H100 leak"
-----------------------end of rant--------------------------

I suggest a noctua nh-D15 or phanteks with dual 140mm fans.
Your pc will be quieter, more reliable, and will be cooled equally well
3. I like the low profile ram.
But, fast ram speeds do little to improve application throughput with intel ram controllers.
If you use a Z97 based motherboard instead of X99, you can probably buy a 32gb kit of 1866 ram which will help production more.
Here is an article:

4. WD black is a faster drive than wd blue.
5. Corsair RM750 is a tier 3 unit on this list.

Look for a tier 1 or 2 unit.
A GTX960 will run on as little as 430w.
I would buy Seasonic, antec, xfx in the 600-750 range.
You will not recoup any price premium for gold rating.

Cool, thanks for your input.
I went with i7-5820k because it is a newer chip and also I got a good combo deal with X99 motherboard from microcenter. I also see your point about liquid cooling, although I still like the idea of having a nice app that comes with the H110 to set and monitor temperatures. Going with i7-5820k, X99 mobo and DDR4 ram cost me about $200 more than 4790k, z97 motherboard and regular DDR3, but I think this way my PC will be better prepared for future upgrades.
