Hi ;)
I'm propably going to give a try AMD + NVidia configuration, and by this I mean some AMD card that will be displaying the image with another low-end NVidia card that will be there just for PhysX support.
So, the main question is - does every single GTX card have the same PhysX module inside ?
I don't know if I should buy the cheapest GTX from 7xx series, or ie. old trusty 8800GT that I can get for a literally few bucks will do the same.

Yeah, I know that NV does not support using they cards this way and that I'll have to use edited driver and do some stuff. I just want to know if there's any difference between PhysX in old-new and low-high end cards.

Solution
Physx is not a hardware feature, there is no "physx module". It's implemented using Nvidia's CUDA instruction set I don't believe there is anything the older cards don't have implemented for Cuda that Physx uses. Make sure to take power usage into account when selecting a card and be aware maintaining the hacked Nvidia drivers can be a pain. I personally don't consider it worthwhile, but that's my opinion.

That explains a bit ;)
I know that hacked NV drives might be pain, but... I own gtx970 for now and it's drives are pain and cancer itself. And that's why I'm probably going with some Fury or 390X when it comes out. Also, PhysX looks cool in some games I play so I'm gonna give it a try.

The biggest problem with the hacked drivers is the issues that could come with them.

Also, that 970 is overkill for a PhysX only card. You can easily sell it to regain some money back and buy a Fury along with a much lower end NVidia GPU (Fury would be the only worth while upgrade from AMD over the GTX970 and a 390X is a rebranded 290X and performs about equal to a 970 right now).

Yeah, I know and that's exactly what I'm going to do.
I'll check how much will be for a FuryX or Fury (that should be confirmed at E3) and then decide what I want :p

I've got another question, but it's continuation of this one so I'm posting it here:
Is there any low-end NV card that have low TDP, backplate and 3x DP out ? Backplate just looks cool, so why not; 3x DP would be nice to have just in case - I do replace parts in my PC kinda often, and sometimes I need a card for a few days that just displays image (I do have 3 monitors setup connected by DP's)
