Hello everyone, I could really use some help. I recently installed a new gpu (Nvidia gtx 750 ti sc) into my gigabyte ga-f2a85x-d3h with a AMD A10-5800K APU and I'm having a lot of trouble. I randomly get the blue screen of death when using different applications like mozilla/internet explorer. I also cannot download heroes of the storm after a certain point, but for some reason i fully downloaded and was playing diablo 3 without almost any problems. I would greatly appreciate any feedback. Thank you.

Solution
I looked a three more of your bugchecks, all were memory corruptions.
I would run memtest86 next to confirm your memory works as expected.

if it works as expected then I would boot windows and start cmd.exe as an admin then run
verifier.exe /standard /all

set the memory dump type to kernel :https://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/111474.aspx
then reboot the machine and wait for the next bugcheck.

use
verifier.exe /reset
to turn off the driver verification after you are done testing (or your machine will run slowly until you do)

when you get a new memory dump it should be stored as
c:\windows\memory.dmp
and it will be a much bigger file but you can upload it to a server an post a link.

or you can run...
The most common cause for this would be failing to go into BIOS and resetting it to defaults after changing the hardware. This will force the BIOS to rescan the hardware and rebuild the database of hardware settings that it hands off to windows. So, the first step would be to update the BIOS or reset it to defaults and reboot.

I chose the option "Load optimized defaults" and nothing seemed to happen. I'm still having the same problems, and the more recent versions of my bios say they're not the right size (32 bit instead of 64 bit). I'm using windows 7 64 bit btw

ok, if you are still getting the bugcheck after you rebooted after loading the optimized defaults
then
copy the .dmp files from c:\windows\minidump directory to a server like microsoft one drive, or mediafire and post a link.
(mark the file as public) I can look at it with a windows debugger.

note: I looked at three bugchecks each showed memory corruption.
you might want to update your BIOS, reboot and run memtest86 to confirm your memory works as expected.
----------

I kind of expect your problem to be related to your use of the razer overlay driver
C:\Windows\system32\drivers\rzpmgrk.sys Thu Apr 17 12:36:12 2014
but I can not confirm it with a mini memory dump. The driver did have a problem where it would corrupt memory in certain cases but it is hard to tell without debugging.
so fix some of the other issues below and see if your problem still exists.
you could also remove the razer overlay manager if you don't use it.

update this driver:
Realtek RTL8168D/8111D Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC
\SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\Rt64win7.sys Tue Sep 27 07:50:33 2011
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=13&PFid=5&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

remove this driver:
AMD Overdrive; also in EasyTune6 for Gigabyte motherboard
C:\Program Files\AMD\ATI.ACE\Fuel\amd64\AODDriver2.sys Tue Feb 11 03:06:52 2014

update this driver:
\SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\amdhub30.sys Wed Aug 15 23:14:55 2012

update BIOS to current version

go here: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4384#driver
and update the following drivers:

amd chipset driver
amd AHCI driver

I doesn't seem like i can download/apply anything. I keep getting errors for whatever reason. I did remove the razor interface and amd overdrive.
\SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\amdhub30.sys does not seem to exist... could that be a problem?

I was actually able to update the bios to the newest beta version finally and install the realtek driver. these did not seem to help either. I also updated the other drivers somewhat recently so they should be good.

systemroot gets mapped to c:\windows
so the file should be located at:
c:\windows\system32\DRIVERS\amdhub30.sys

or you can run whocrashed.exe or bluescreenviewer.exe on the dump file and it may tell you the name of a bad driver.
(maybe)

sooo I went ahead with memtest86+ and it showed 11520 errors shortly after the first pass. I can be more specific if you would like, but another more serious error has arisen. I unplugged my flash drive right as i turned the pc back on. It then went through a test to check the files on my hard drive i think and it deleted a bunch of files as well. after it reset... Bios no longer detects my Hard disc drive or dvd rom drive. What have I done? :'(

depends, how old is your motherboard. Older ones might have IDE as the default SATA mode (rather than AHCI) if you reset the BIOS it might have went to IDE mode then it would not see the files on your hard drive until you change the SATA mode back to AHCI. if you booted off of a thumb drive then you would have to have made a BIOS setting to do that, and would have to change the boot priority back to the original configuration.
you have to fix your memory problem before anything in your machine will work again. IE pull out 1/2 of the memory boot into bios and reconfigure then boot the memtest86 again and re run the test.

also some bios versions will automatically overclock in BIOS, make sure it is turned off.

well windows came on normally when i turned it on earlier and blue screened soon after i logged in. I have a feeling my HDD is basically dead which would explain the problem downloading... not sure how installing a new GPU would cause this or the memory issues. What do you think? The sata mode was fine btw. I just checked and it recognizes my hdd but it keeps freezing on the gigabyte screen when i try to boot after bios. I'll also try removing a stick of ram. I only have 2, 4g each. I may be able to use ram from an older pc as well.

I also was wondering if the 2g of ram connected to the new gpu would be a problem, it's ddr5 I believe and my motherboard can only take ddr3 at the most or does it not work this way?

It just ended up being one of my sticks of ram after all of that trouble haha. It wasnt recognizing my flash drive after the first memtest for some reason, so I just tried each stick separately. Thanks so much for the help my friend. Have a good one.
