I have an MSI Z97 Gaming 7 Mobo and recently received a 980ti. On their website, the compatibility does not list the 980ti or the titan x (but lists literally every other card). Could this possibly be the reason for it now being recognized properly? I updated the bios to the latest version (released 9 days ago) but I have still had no luck. I can't even install the drivers because my computer will not recognize it as supported hardware. If it matters I just did a fresh install of windows 10. Any help would be greatly appreciated to help me with this nightmare. Thanks in advance.

Per nVidias site, they don't have a Windows 10 drive available for the GTX 980Ti yet. Due to that, if you want it to work properly you need to go back to Windows 8.1 until they release a new driver for Windows 10 and the 980Ti.

353.06. From what I could tell it is the only supported driver for the 980 ti. I know windows 10 is still in the preview, but do you really think it would help to go back to windows 8.1?

From everything I can find it will probably need to be a clean install. Do you have a secondary HDD you can throw your data to? I keep Steam for example on a RAID) separate from my OS so when I install Windows 10 I wont have to reinstall Steam and the tons of games I have.

Yea I do. I already have every single driver I need on it. The only thing I need to keep is my TeamSpeak server bookmarks otherwise I can not reconnect to them. Not entirely sure where TS stores this info.
