Can I use my i5 4690k to update my Asus B85-Pro gamer motherboard?

So I just figured out that the Asus B85-Pro gamer needs to update its BIOS for it to work with the i5 4690k, can i use the i5 4690k to boot it up and update it? Any suggestions? thanks

You can, but you would need a BIOS update. The 4690k has an unlocked multiplier, so you should use a Z97 motherboard, which is meant for overclocking. The Z97 Extreme4 is a great motherboard for a 4690k, and is a great overclocker.

No, you need an unlocked multiplier to overclock.
